Welcome to Michael Jackson's Memorial website

Michael Jackson was one of the most beloved entertainers and influential artists of all-time. He left an indelible imprint on popular music and culture.

His solo albums are among the top-sellers of all time. His “Thriller” album holds the record as the largest selling album worldwide with more than 80 million units sold. Singles released from the Thriller album sold more than 100 million copies worldwide, also an all time record.

During his career, he sold an estimated 800 million records worldwide and released 13 No.1 singles. He was also inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame – a prestige shared by only a handful of people.

He was recognised by the Guinness Book of World Records as the Most Successful Entertainer of All Time and "Thriller" as the Biggest Selling Album of All Time. He also won 13 Grammy Awards and received the American Music Award's Artist of the Century Award.

He started in the music industry at the age of 6 with his brothers as a member of the Jackson 5. He defined the art form of music video with such ground-breaking videos as "Billie Jean," "Beat It" and the epic "Thriller." Jackson's sound, style and dance moves inspired subsequent generations of pop, soul, R&B and hip-hop artists.

While preparing for the 'This Is It' concert tour in 2009, Jackson died at the age of 50 after suffering from cardiac arrest. His death triggered an outpouring of grief from around the world with his globally live broadcast memorial service attracting more than 1 billion.

This memorial website is a tribute to him and his legacy.
